Art Fair NYC
The Independent Art Fair this year was made up of 40 of the most cutting edge galleries from Europe and New York City. As an art publication editor, who sees more art in person than most people, even in this industry - the Independent Art Fair is definitely "the edge" of art today. It is so edgy, visitors to the fair have trouble determining where one gallery stops and the next one starts - which art goes with which gallery - and if the titles and artists names of the various works actually are noted anywhere.
There are many art pieces in this art fair that even the most experienced art "appreciators" usually find difficult to "appreciate". It is how this art fair moves outside of the comfort zone, that makes it one of the best.
Because of the difficultly to decern which gallery was displaying which artist or the artist's name, title and medium of the pieces, these artworks covered in this article do not have attributions, they are simply presented uncaptioned for your enjoyment. Enjoy, (with our apologies)!
More artworks were presented last week from the Independent Art Fair NYC 2016. Participating galleries and institutions are listed in last week's (March 18, 2016) issue. You can Click on the gallery names and be transported to their website, to see more of the art they have and the artists they represent.
