You think you've got it hard in your life? Look how these beautiful plants survive and thrive, against all odds. Be humble and enjoy these pictures!

"I was at the Design Conference in Aspen as author Michael Crichton was looking at an illustration by artist Milton Glaser of a flower growing in the middle of a sidewalk. He said, 'Life always finds a way!' I believe that moment was the seed for the basic concept behind his book 'Jurassic Park', ie: humans cannot control the natural world, 'life". Nature will always be in control or find a way to do as it will, no matter man's best efforts to be in charge." - Jack A. Atkinson

FOOD

Crab Cakes

Ingredients: 

2/3 cup mayonnaise 

5 egg yolks 

2 teaspoons lemon juice 

2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce 

2 teaspoons Dijon mustard 

2 teaspoons black pepper 

1/4 teaspoon salt 

1/4 teaspoon blackening seasoning 

1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes 

1/2 cup crushed, chopped parsley 

2 1/2 cups breadcrumbs 

2 lbs crabmeat 

Directions: 

Mix all ingredients together. 

Make into 4 oz. patties 

Coat with flour 

Fry in 1 inch of oil until golden brown
