Crispy Cereal Treats

These traditional "MOM" treats were sold this year
in the food court of the Cherry Creek Arts Festival.
Interestingly they made the treats using various types of cereal:
Captain Crunch; Fruit Loops; Coco Puffs; Rice Krispies; etc.
and some had candy sprinkled on top. Invent your own!

Kellogg's original recipe for Rice Krispies Treats:

3 tablespoons butter or margarine
4 cups of miniature marshmallows
or 1 Package (10 oz.- about 40) regular marshmallows
6 cups Kellogg's Rice Krispies © cereal

1 in a large saucepan melt butter over low heat.
Add marshmallows and stir until completely melted.
Remove from heat.

2. Add Cerial. Stir until well-coated.

3. Using a buttered spatula or wax paper,
evenly press mixture into a 13 x 9 x 2 inch pan
coated with cooking spray or buttered.

4. Cool & Cut into 2 inch squares.

Best if served the same day.
